IN DEPTH SERIES

friday night lectures

A regular event where we explore Buddhist perspectives on contemporary questions. There is no meditation in this class, but we leave lots of time for Q&A.

PURIFYING NEGATIVITY

FRIDAY 28 NOVEMBER 7PM - 8PM + Q&A

Buddha explained that our unhappiness and difficulties don’t come from external things, but are the result of the negative actions, or ‘karma’, we performed in the past through our own harmful actions. Through purification practice we can dissolve away negative karma before it produces suffering and remove the real obstacle to a happy and meaningful life.

At this Friday Night Lecture, Buddhist nun, Gen Kelsang Tsalden, will explain how to purify past actions by relying upon Vajrasattva, the Buddha of purification. Through this we’ll purify our mind of negative karma, thereby removing the inner causes of problems and sufferings, and creating the causes of peace and happiness.

TIME: 7pm to 8pm, plus Q & A

COST: $20
